Who We Are?

We THANGAVELU Hospital, is situated at Mettur, Tamilnadu, an industrial town, best known for the Mettur Dam, the largest in south India and easily accessible from any part of Tamilnadu.

Ours is a 30 bedded multi-speciality hospital, recently renovated and expanded to its full potential. In fact we had started our healthcare services to people of Mettur before 40years as our founder Dr. Thangavelu started a clinic during the early 1980’s.

Our hospital is headed by Dr.Vijay Kumar Thangavelu, a renowned orthopaedic surgeon in this part of Tamilnadu. At Thangavelu Hospital, we are committed to excellence in orthopaedic care. our facilities are equipped with cutting-edge technology and an expert team focused on patient recovery, comfort, and well-being.

Our facility is equipped with 3 operation theatre’s with one C-Arm with Laminar Air Flow, 10 Bedded Intensive Care Unit, Casualty, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory, Digital XRay, 64 Slice CT Scan, Ultra Sonogram (USG) and others in our campus

We had already started our Quality journey in applying for NABH Entry Process by our Quality team. Understanding the need of Quality Healthcare for more than 5lakhs people living across hundreds of villages around Mettur, we are conducting regular free medical camps at regular intervals.

Also we are in the process of getting empanelled with the Honourable Tamilnadu Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme, New Health Insurance Scheme, various private insurance companies and Third Party Administrators across India for the benefit of the needy patients.
